The Visayas State University (VSU), a globally competitive university of science and technology and environmental conservation, is created by law to develop highly competitive human resource, cutting-edge scientific knowledge and innovative technologies for sustainable communities and environment. With its main campus located in Baybay City in Leyte, VSU also has four satellite campuses in Tolosa, Isabel, Alangalang, and Villaba, Leyte.
The VSU Team of the IVC Philippines project is implemented under the VSU- main campus College of Management and Economics. The team is also composed of project staff whose expertise varies across the fields of agribusiness and management, economics, sociology, and development communication
VSU-College of Management and Economics
The College of Management and Economics (CME) of VSU integrates principles of management, economics and governance to equip students with relevant knowledge, skills and values so that they may become experts in responding to pressing development issues. It is composed of four academic units: (i) Department of Business and Management, (ii) Department of Economics, (iii) Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management; (iv) Institute of Strategic Research and Development Studies and (v) Visayas Socio-Economic Research and Data Analytic Center.
