UP Mindanao was created through Republic Act 7889 on February 20, 1995. It is one of the University of the Philippines’ constituent universities offering undergraduate, graduate, and PhD programs. It also provides public service and conducts research and extension projects. 

The UP Mindanao Team of the IVC Philippines Project is implemented under the School of Management and UPSTREAM Foundation. 

School of Management (SOM)

The School of Management generates relevant research, provides significant public service and extension programs, and educates socially responsible and dynamic leaders through its formal and non-formal course offerings. SOM offers Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Economics, Master in Management and PhD by Research.

UP Strategic Research and Management

The UP Strategic Research and Management (UPSTREAM) Foundation, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit corporation duly organized and existing since November 7, 2001, under the laws of the Philippines. Its principal office is at the School of Management, UP Mindanao, Mintal, Davao City.
